Meet the team

Bob Hay

Managing Director

Telephone: 020 8655 1300

Bob knows a thing or two about loyalty, being a Manchester Utd season ticket holder and having a daughter and son, Hollie and Lewis, who both work for Streets Ahead. Bob’s children and grand-children, Lilly and Livia, are the apples of his eye and his memorable moments include his daughter’s wedding two years ago. There is nothing that Bob likes more than being alone in the kitchen on Sunday and making a roast for the family (well maybe cheering at Old Trafford when Man United are winning!)

Gary O’Hare

Director

Telephone: 020 8655 4710
Email: gary.ohare@streetsahead.info

Gary’s most memorable moment is Streets Ahead winning a best estate agent award for the first time and is thrilled to bits that Streets Ahead have gone on to win 30 national awards since. Gary has vast experience having worked in the property sector for over 30 years, 26 of them at Streets Ahead. His interests are diverse, from gym/boxing and buying/selling fine art.

Dominic Modell

Sales Manager

Telephone: 020 8253 1601
Email: dominic.modell@streetsahead.info

Classic cars and watches aficionado and dad Dominic is in his fourth year with Streets Ahead and with his property background to boot, he is the perfect person to run our flagship branch in Croydon High Street. Straight talking Dominic knows how to solve a problem and he is certainly not shy to roll his sleeves up at any moment. Dominic is a dad and a family man and loves his holidays.

Daniel Woods

Email: daniel.woods@streetsahead.info

Daniel has risen through the ranks from training negotiator through to assistant manager, manager and now area manager over an 11 year period. Daniels forte is providing the very best customer service and making sure his staff all around him are first class. He embraces all new training and regularly holds training seminars to develop and up skill the Streets Ahead staff. Dan is an enormous Chelsea football supporter and plays in his spare time. He also dotes on his daughter and spends his days off spoiling her!

George Potter

Lettings Manager

Telephone: 020 8253 1605
Email: george.potter@streetsahead.info

George joined Streets Ahead in 2014 coming from a corporate estate agent and having worked for Streets Ahead in the past, it was the personal touch that he confessed he missed. George who is just about to move himself appreciates the anxieties of our customers and is always on hand with the benefit of his experience. George runs a successful lettings team out of our flagship Croydon High Street branch. Football-fan and gym-goer George used the backdrop of Central Park, New York, for the biggest moment of his life so far – getting engaged.

Email: kevin.ellis@streetsahead.info

Kevin joined Streets Ahead 2 years ago. Formally the managing director of Romans’ New Homes and prior to this, many years in the property back ground.

Patrick is a fountain of knowledge to all the Streets Ahead family as his experience cannot be replaced. Patrick is a devout family man and loves taking the family on international holidays. Patrick knows a thing or two about football and what he doesn’t know about horse racing probably isn’t worth knowing about. Patrick counts his daughter’s graduation among his best memories.

Local Information

Restaurants:

restaurants_central-croydon
Croydon’s hugely-popular Restaurant Quarter in South End, has an amazing array of eateries inspired by cultures from home and across the globe, which even the fussiest of eaters would be hard-pressed to complain about.

One of the most renowned restaurants of British fare is Michelin-listed Albert’s Table which offers fine dishes such as broth of wild rabbit and Herdwick Hogget (lamb). Nearby, the Croydon Steak House, opened in 1967, pledges “a steak as big as you like”. Galicia offers Spanish tapas and Khyber’s menu features classical Indian dishes with a contemporary twist.

For Italian food lovers, Ponte Nuovo pledges a touch of Milan glamour with its cool bright interior while Beijing Cottage’s menu features Peking and Cantonese cuisine from delicious duck to luscious lobster.

A short walk south to the end of the restaurant quarter, you’ll find Bagatti’s, a popular Italian that’s been in the area for 25 years, serving up the likes of antipasti and bruschetta, cuttlefish and raw beef.

Just a few doors away is Malcolm John’s Michelin-listed Brasserie Vacherin, a French bistro with moules marineres (mussels in white wine and shallot sauce), smoked duck and lamb brochette on its menu. The stylish Txt Bar offers contemporary bar food such as platters, pulled pork burgers and halloumi wraps.

In the heart of central Croydon, at the Clocktower Café, you’ll find the perfect place to combine culture, coffee (or Fairtrade Tea) and cake. This eaterie is based in the Croydon Clocktower, home to Croydon museum, library and David Lean cinema.

Yet, if you fancy something stronger, just next door is The Spread Eagle ale and pie house (with plenty of other dishes on the menu if pie isn’t your thing), set in a former bank and presided over by a golden eagle statue.

Another venue that combines culture and food is Matthew’s Yard, which has an art gallery and studios, with Hoodoo’s serving tea and coffee, and BRGR & Beer offering home-made organic beef burgers and craft beers. And if you want something swift and al fresco, why not try out Surrey Street Market’s food to go stalls. The market is something of an institution in Croydon, dating back to 1237 and is well supported by locals.
