Streets Ahead sponsor Nightwatch 40th Anniversary Conference

Streets Ahead is sponsoring an important conference on homelessness to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Croydon charity Nightwatch.
Marcus Jones MP, the Minister responsible for Government policy on homelessness, will lead experts in a discussion of the issues affecting homeless people at the conference in Croydon on September 21.
They will look at what Nightwatch has achieved over the decade, debate what has and hasn’t worked, and consider templates for helping homeless people in future.
Streets Ahead Director Gary O’Hare said: “Nightwatch is a terrific charity helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community. We are proud to support the charity’s 40th anniversary conference which aims to tackle such vitally important issues.”
Streets Ahead, a lead sponsor of September’s conference, has a long association with the Nightwatch. Many of the staff have volunteered on the charity’s nightly outreach initiatives in the borough, where they provide food and support for homeless people.
Streets Ahead Director Gary O’Hare is calling on other businesses to join in sponsoring September’s key conference on the issue of homelessness in Croydon College Conference Centre.
Nightwatch CEO Jad Adams said: “We are very grateful that our good friends at Streets Ahead have again agreed to support Nightwatch. We are holding this 40th anniversary conference to commemorate the work we and other organisations have done in Croydon in the past decades, and what we hope to achieve in the future. We are so happy that Streets Ahead want to be part of the event.’
