JOLA BAMIGBOLA, SALES MANAGER, CRYSTAL PALACE
How long have you worked at Streets Ahead?
Nearly 10 years
What is your job and what does it involve?
As Sales Manager I am responsible for the overall running of the office, which includes overseeing my team of negotiators and sales progressor, generating appraisals, carrying out appraisals and overall business development of the department. I also look after the marketing and advertising and brand development of the office as well as the training and development of my team. Because I’ve worked here so long and really know the area, I can really identify with, and help and advise local client businesses and home owners.
What aspect of your job do you enjoy most?
I really enjoy meeting people and obviously working in property. I started in the industry over 12 years ago as a trainee negotiator, developing my skills within Streets Ahead. I love the buzz of creating something out of nothing, of helping people make their wishes come true with regard to finding their dream home. It’s a great feeling when a deal comes together. Also Crystal Palace as an area has changed a lot over the last few years and is now one of the most sought-after suburbs outside of central London. With this comes a new wave of clientele with loads of expectation.
What’s life like outside of work?
I live in Beckenham, which is just a few miles east of Crystal Palace, with my wife of 10 years and our two lovely children – Tishe and Morayo. Outside of work I’m part of a local basketball team and I’m also an avid Arsenal supporter and I try to watch them whenever I can.
Why do you like working at Streets Ahead?
Streets Ahead is my second family. Bob and Gary are fantastic to work for – they have really taught me and encouraged me to be the best I can be. I have ‘Streets Ahead’ blood flowing through my veins.
