Meet the team
Bob Hay
Managing Director
Telephone: 020 8655 1300Bob knows a thing or two about loyalty, being a Manchester Utd season ticket holder and having a daughter and son, Hollie and Lewis, who both work for Streets Ahead. Bob’s children and grand-children, Lilly and Livia, are the apples of his eye and his memorable moments include his daughter’s wedding two years ago. There is nothing that Bob likes more than being alone in the kitchen on Sunday and making a roast for the family (well maybe cheering at Old Trafford when Man United are winning!)
Gary O’Hare
Director
Telephone: 020 8655 4710Email: gary.ohare@streetsahead.info
Gary’s most memorable moment is Streets Ahead winning a best estate agent award for the first time and is thrilled to bits that Streets Ahead have gone on to win 30 national awards since. Gary has vast experience having worked in the property sector for over 35 years, 32 of them at Streets Ahead.
Patrick Donnelly
Land & New Homes Director
Telephone: 020 8655 4783Email: patrick.donnelly@streetsahead.info
Patrick has been an estate agent in Croydon and the surrounding area for over 30 years and what Patrick doesn’t know about property isn’t worth knowing. Patrick is a fountain of knowledge to all the Streets Ahead family as his experience cannot be replaced. Patrick is a devout family man and loves taking the family on international holidays. Patrick knows a thing or two about football and what he doesn’t know about horse racing probably isn’t worth knowing about. Patrick counts his daughter’s graduation among his best memories.
Danny Poulton-Midani
Senior Branch Manager
Telephone: 020 8253 1612Email: danny.midani@streetsahead.info
Danny is an extremely experienced Estate Agent, having lived in the Croydon area since 1990 and risen through the ranks of a well-known corporate brand which eventually resulted in senior management, heading up a busy office. Danny is unquestionably a multi tasked Estate Agent, having also run a hybrid Estate Agency brand. By his own admission, Danny is well travelled and globe-trotting holidays are a definitely a passion. Out of work hours, Danny is a keep fit fanatic and gym goer and is an avid theatre goer.
Zoe Pennington
PA to the Directors
Telephone: 020 8655 4819Email: zoe.pennington@streetsahead.info
Family comes first for Zoe who loves nothing more than spending time with her loved ones on holiday. Zoe’s favorite holiday destination is Lanzarote which she knows and loves well but visited Miami in 2018 which she also thoroughly enjoyed. Zoe joined us in January 2014 and her proudest moment was winning employee of the year 2017. Seven years in, this keen runner is certainly going far in the industry.
Local Information
Restaurants:
The choice offerings of the South End Restaurant Quarter are so wide and varied they extend all the way from the town centre to South Croydon. Bagatti’s, a popular Italian that’s been in the area for 25 years, serves up the likes of antipasti and bruschetta, cuttlefish and raw beef.
Malcolm John’s Michelin-listed Brasserie Vacherin is a French bistro with moules marineres (mussels in white wine and shallot sauce), smoked duck and lamb brochette on its menu. Sandwiched between these two is Afters, for those with a sweet tooth. You’ll find the most magnificent sundaes and smoothies and every flavour of ice-cream and toppings you could hope for.
Dining options in South Croydon also include Chat House Tandoori and gastropub, The Treehouse, which has its own signature burger. Stylish Txt Bar offers contemporary bar food such as platters, pulled pork burgers and halloumi wraps.
Fushia Indian restaurant is a stunning place to eat, with its fuchsia lighting and black leather, gold and ivory drapes. And another of the area’s Indian restaurants, Karnavar, named after Head Chef Manoj Karnavar, has been named in Open Table’s 2016 Diner’s Choice Top 10 Indian restaurants in London. This award was due in part to its creative twist on Indian food, with delicacies including organic barley and beetroot chat, and cauliflower, ginger, almond soup with scallops.
Just off the beaten track, in Selsdon Road, there’s Café Tresor which does great sandwiches and the delightful Italian delicatessen, La Spezia, which serves such things as arancini balls and marinated corned beef sandwiches.
Little Bay is a quirky eaterie which offers fine dining and opera amidst theatrical red-velvet décor while Cote d’Azur fuses French and Mauritian cooking, hoping to reflect a little of the French Riviera in its flavours and provide “a sunshine break for your palette”.
